cheltenham
Today we continued our exploration of new places … sort of.
When we told British friends we were headed to Bath, several suggested that we also visit Cheltenham. “You’ve been to Bath before,” they said. “And Cheltenham is lovely,”
Marcus resisted, because he grew up in the area. But folks were so insistent, we finally took a road trip up there today, just the two of us,
“It’s funny,” Marcus said over lunch, “I guess because I grew up in the area, I never thought much about Cheltenham. But, it’s really pretty!”
It was indeed. Funny how sometimes you don‘t appreciate some things until you leave and come back, isn’t it?
(And speaking of leaving, tomorrow we hit the road again for the real reason we returned to the UK. So much more joy to come, friends.)
This is how you joyfully marry.
The future’s so bright, she’s gotta wear shades.
