this was a good week

This was a good week! Here’s why:

• The temperature has plummeted here in Houston, and we’ve brought all of our houseplants inside. We’re inside by the fire, enjoying a movie. It’s nice.

• This story of a budding novelist made my entire week.

• Art made from shadows — I love clever people.

• This cartoon cracked me up.

• Artificial intelligence “photographs” of what animated characters would look like in real life. Crazy!

• This Twitter thread shares the really cool history of the ampersand.

• Black history in two minutes (or so). These videos are so great.
