a little list of good things
There’s been quite a bit of good these past days! Here’s what I mean:
• I have a new hobby, and the results are in the photo above. For various reason, I became intrigued with the idea of making my own necklaces. I’ll share a longer post about why later, but for the past week, I’ve been taking various old and broken necklaces and repairing them, adding new elements. I’m thinking of going to a bead store today. I’m a woman obsessed.
• We’ve had c r a z y storms in Texas this week, which provided a great opportunity for this photographer. Amazing.
• No surprise, but I’m completely charmed by this graphic designer’s font he created based on the architecture of Trinidad & Tobago.
• Joke’s on you: this comedy bar isn’t real, it’s miniature.
• I’m very mindful of the way I start my mornings, to set the tone of my day, so I loved these Ideas for how to start your day on a joyful note.
• This lovely eulogy by my friend Pam makes me want to be a better person.
• And finally, for today’s soundtrack, Amidakuji by Candle. I have no idea what he’s singing, but his funky beat and badass trumpet line makes me feel like I’m in New Orleans — in Japan.

Enjoy your weekend, friends.
And now you’re ready for the new year: fun facts, a cool designer, and representation matters.
It’s back: good people doing good things. And raising a little hell in the process.
Some joy in a good week.
