time to re-emerge
This afternoon, for the first time in a year — maybe two — I took a walk on the trails near my house with Marcus. I used to walk these trails often, but after COVID became reality, I began moving closer to home. But today was an unseasonably cool day, so out we went. I’d forgotten how much I loved the trail.
In not-immediately-obvious related news, I’ve just turned in a sample table-of-contents for my next book. I’m not ready to talk about what it’s going to be about (after all, I’m still so excited about Radiant Rebellion, which comes out later this year!), but suffice to say that today’s walk reminded me of what it means to get out in the world again, and I need to do more of that. Because as my friend Terra is fond of saying, it’s in the living that we create a life.
If it’s good enough for lawyers, maybe it’s good enough for all of us.
a reminder of cadence.
