and we still have to buy appliances
Tomorrow, we meet with our builder to go over the “punch list” — the final items which need to be done for our house to be ready to move in. (At this point, we don’t have a lawn, banisters for the stairs, painted cabinets, a completed bookshelf, trim around one of the doors, the motor for the garage door opener, shutters, a front door handle, a working oven, finished tile in one of our bathrooms, a missing countertop, the correct mantelpiece — and that’s just off the top of my head — so once we actually go through the house, this punch list ain’t gonna be short.) After our meeting tomorrow, we are told we’ll have a good idea of when our move-in date will be.
On November 30th, we are required to have moved out of this apartment.
So let’s all take a moment and pray that the Gods of Construction and the Gods of Vacating Premises are in harmony, shall we?
In the meantime, I’ll start packing up.
