this was a good week
This was a good week! Here’s why:
• I helped facilitate a 3-day workshop this week that was i n t e n s e but ended up going really well; then yesterday I celebrated my birthday by doing nothing all day long, and then having a socially distant happy hour with our neighbours, well-lubricated by Marcus’ margaritas. It was lovely.
• Board games for bored days. There are a few personal favourites on that list!
• Did you know there’s a comet visible to the naked eye right now (if you live in the Northern hemisphere)? Here’s how to find it.
• When I was a kid in Trinidad, there was a short television show after school that featured bélé dancing, a traditional folk dance from the Caribbean. So I was utterly charmed by this video that teaches how to do the bélé dance, shot in the neighbouring island of Grenada. Dansez le bélé!
• Have you guys seen those viral videos of cakes that look like different foods — so much so, you don’t realize it’s cake until it’s sliced? Here’s how it’s done.
• And finally, for today’s soundtrack, Revolution as performed by Stone Temple Pilots — in honour of completing another revolution around the sun, sure, but also because the word REVOLUTION is calling me to be my word of the year. Click on the arrow below to listen.
Have a great weekend, friends.
