this was a good week
This was a good week! Here’s why:
• We had another social distancing happy hour with my parents last night, we’ve had a few spectacularly stormy and sunny days recently, and today I officially launch the Star Collective (woohoo!!). Life’s good.
• Also last night — we happened to walk outside to look at how huge Venus is in the night sky, and looked up just in time to see the Starlink satellites pass directly overhead. So freaky!
• And speaking of space, I loved these lessons about social distancing from an astronaut. We’re all just crew on Spaceship Earth, baby.
• CNN anchor Anderson Cooper is now a dad, and I’m way more excited for him than I should be, given I don’t know the man. His announcement is just so lovely.
• Music saving our sanity in the times of coronavirus. (I can attest to the live dance parties hosted by D-Nice on his Instagram feed. They’re amazing.)
• "Researchers released some good news about a possible treatment for coronavirus Wednesday -- evidence that the experimental drug remdesivir might help patients recover more quickly from the infection ... The US Food and Drug Administration ... plans to announce an emergency-use authorization for remdesivir, according to The New York Times. The authorization could come as soon as Wednesday." This seems like good news, yes?
• Finally, for today’s soundtrack: Soweto Blues by Juls, featuring Busiswa and Jaz Karis. The thing that I’m missing most is travel — and this dreamy beat from South Africa is helping me get excited about future trials. Click here or the image below to watch and listen.
With that, have a great weekend, friends. See you next week.
