this was a good week
This was a good week! Here’s why:
• Two of those caterpillars have turned into chrysalises, and I’m just fascinated.
•. Today’s soundtrack: the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra performs Ode to Joy — from their quarantined homes. You’ll need your sound way up for this one — trust me on this.
And for the remainder of the awesome things I’ve found this week, tune in at 4pm central time United States time (-5 GMT) on my Facebook page for a Light Hour — where we’ll connect in real time and check in with each other. (If you’re on Facebook and you like and follow my Facebook page, you’ll get a notification when I go live, but even if you’re not on Facebook, you’ll be able to see it.) If you cant make it at 4, no worries — I’ll update this post with a recording so you can catch it then.
See you then!
UPDATE: If you missed our Light Hour, today, here it is:
And here’s what we talked about:
D-Nice’s Instagram feed — He’ll announce when he’s having his Club Quarantine on his feed, and then click on his avatar from your mobile device at the appropriate time. It’s like a global dance party.
DJ Sun also spins his chill music at noon and 9pm central time every day.
Christopher Walken reading Where the Wild Things Are. Not necessarily for kids, but really funny for adults.
Save With Stories — celebrities reading their favourite children’s books (and this is for your kids).
Kristen Howerton’s homeschool checklist schedule — for folks who suddenly find themselves homeschooling during this virus.
The Tiny Closet — a favourite source for clothing.
Printed Pattern People — another favourite clothing source.
Stasia’s Style School — she’ll teach you why you should break up with clothes that hurt your feelings.
And finally, Beginning Focus — my ebook that’s chock-full of photography advice. Enter coupon code KEEPMAKINGLIGHT for your free copy, through Friday, April 3rd, 2020. Enjoy!
