this was a good week

This was a good week! Here’s why:

• Apologies for vagueblogging, but it was one of those weeks where good news kept coming out of nowhere — and I can’t yet give you details. But I promise, eventually I’ll be able to share all about it. But between that, and today being Valentine’s Day, and my sister and her family coming into town this weekend, it’s a good week!

• Marcus and I finally watched A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood this week, so I’m especially charmed by this NPR piece on the work of Fred Rogers’ photographer, Lynn Johnson. What beautiful images of an amazing man.

• Dude — is the truth really out there?

Check out this blanket octopus unfurling her webbing. We live on a beautiful planet, man.

• And speaking of our planet, people are knitting, crocheting and weaving evidence of the climate crisis. An amazing project of awareness.

This photographer recreated 19th century paintings with South Indian actors. Love it.

My friend Andrea is sharing a photo and a story every single day for a year, and it is glorious. Hmmm…

• And finally, for today’s soundtrack: We Play the Music by Ed Solo and Skool of Thought. Click the arrow below to listen.

Have a great weekend, friends.
