this was a good week
This was a good week! Here’s why:
• My friend Maile arrives today to spend the weekend with me! This calls for rum punch.
• I remember when I was a kid, my Uncle Leonard told me that if I kept digging on a hole on the beach in front of our house in Mayaro, Trinidad, eventually I would pop up on the other side of the world in China. I believed this for way too long. Turns out, thanks to this interactive map, he wasn’t too far off.
• The walls of this underground cavern are covered in millions of seashells, but no one knows who built it or why. (I think we’re going to have to go visit this the next time we’re in England!)
• If you want peace, find beauty.
• The Sony World Photography Awards 2020 have begun, and early entries are amazing.
