bonus shot: some inspiration from kenya
You might remember that last summer (around this time, actually), I traveled to Kenya with the ONE Campaign. I was one of 10 bloggers assigned to tell the story of all the amazing successes that were happening in the fight against HIV/AIDS, malaria and poverty. It was an amazing, life-changing experience, one that I won't soon forget.
This October, I'm so honoured to be traveling with ONE again, but this time to Ethiopia; also, instead of being one of the bloggers, I'm going in support of a new, different crew of 10 bloggers. In fact, I'm to be the official photographer.
No pressure.
It's about time I start thinking and preparing for this trip, but to be honest, I've been nervous about doing so. It's one thing to be shooting for myself, it's an entirely different proposition to be shooting for other people. The thought of beginning to prepare for this trip has been overwhelming.
But then my friend Jeannine, who works at ONE, sent me the video of another photographer's work from Kenya, shown above. And if this doesn't have me champing at the bit to get back over to Africa and photograph its beauty, well, then, I just don't know what.
Please click on the arrow on the image above, and enjoy all that beauty. And with that, have a great weekend, friends.
