remote office

There’s a cold front making its way through Texas today, and since I had to travel to Austin this morning, I decided to leave early enough so that I could arrive in Austin way ahead of any bad weather. Sure, check-in for the hotel wasn’t until 4pm, but I figured I could just find a quiet spot in the lobby to wait for my room to be ready.

Well, that was an epic fail.

I got about 20 minutes out of town, and the skies opened up. Hard. I was in driving rain for the next two hours, and the poor valet at the hotel had to pry my fists from their death grip on the steering wheel when I arrived. (I’m a bit of a nervous driver.)

But in happy news, even though I arrived at around 11:40 a.m., my hotel room was ready! So after a quick lunch, I’m up in my room, Spotify playlist going, cafe mocha at my side, blissfully working.

Happy Thursday, friends. Here’s to cozy workspaces.
