of naphopomo and the advent of light
This weekend, I received an email from my friend Xanthe, asking me if I was going to be participating in NaPhoPoMo this year. "I love how you started it years ago," she said. "I think we should do it again."
"Oh, you're sweet," I responded. "But I didn't start it."
"Yes, you did!" she insisted. "In fact, I have the blog post you wrote saved!"
And then she sent me this link.
So! It looks like I started NaPhoPoMo back in 2013! And since my blogging has been so sporadic of late, but my travel should be seriously curtailed until the new year, it seems like a perfect time to do it again. So for the month of November, you'll see a photograph shared here on Chookooloonks every day, for 30 days. And my friends Xanthe, Jeanine and Andrea are going to be doing it, too.
So get ready, it's about to be photopalooza up in here. (And if you do it as well, please be sure to let me know in the comments. I'd love to see your images.)
I also wanted to let you know that after almost a year, I'm offering a new online journaling course! It's called Advent of Light, and it's sort of a audio/visual "advent calendar." If you join me, each day for the first 24 days of December you'll receive an audio journaling prompt/meditation, as well as a 4"x4" downloadable image to include in your journal -- it'll be your commitment to yourself to spend 30 minutes with your thoughts and dreams and plans. With all that goes on during the end of the year, it'll be nice to have 30 minutes each day that you know are all your own, you know?
Click here to sign up -- the course is on sale right now for $49, through November 15th. The course begins on December 1st, and I'd love to have you join us.
Happy November, friends.
