#naphopomo 2013, day 29: #lookforthelight, november 2013
In addition to doing #NaPhoPoMo this month (and therefore always having my Nikon on me), I was also very mindful to shoot at least an image a day on my iPad through the month of November. When I began #lookforthelight, my intent was for it to be a monthly photographic gratitude practice -- and it has certainly turned out to be the case. But what's interesting is that I'm also noticing that there are patterns that emerge in my photostream each month. Like, in October, it was travel. This month, it was circles.
I'm not sure what that means, exactly. But nonetheless, I do like that the patterns are there.
When I look at your beautiful images each month, I notice certain themes and patterns in your work, as well -- there are many more of them, of course, but they do enable me to put them into what I believe are really interesting diptychs. I love the idea that the themes show commonality among us all, wherever in the world we may be.
Here are my favourite shots of yours for November. Your light is beautiful.
As always, thanks so much for sharing your beautiful work, friends.
Thanks again to all of you who participated this month in #lookforthelight -- keep 'em coming! If you'd like to participate and you have an Instagram account (it's free), simply grab shots of the light in your life with your mobile device, and add the hashtag "lookforthelight" to your shot, either in the caption or in the comments. I'll feature my 10 favourite shots again at the end of November here on Chookooloonks, giving lots of link love, naturally. And of course, click here to see all the submissions (and feel free to follow along my own progress at heychookooloonks on Instagram!).
