A confession: when I decided to do the #lookforthelight camera phone/table-phone community (you can read more about it here), my reasons weren't altogether altruistic. Of course, I hoped that participating photographers would be inspired to slow down and see the beauty in their own lives, but the truth is that I had a bit of an ulterior motive going on, as well: since I'm new to the whole mobile phone thing (and am definitely struggling -- it turns out that without a lens to adjust, I have no idea what I'm doing), I also wanted to create something that would help inspire me to improve my own work.
My Lord, have you people delivered.
The shots that you guys are tagging #lookforthelight are nothing short of incredible. I've been checking your images every single day since we started, and every day, I see a shot that blows me away. Thank you guys so much for sharing your beautiful, light-filled worlds with me, and with each other.
So here's what we're going to do: you can see my favourites of the images I shot with my iPad this month, above, and which I'll continue to share with you. In addition, however, I'll share 10 of my very favourites if the images that you shot on the last Friday of every month (giving you credit and linking back to your Instagram stream, of course).

My little Tumblr project, Where Bloggers Blog, is still going strong: as of this writing, thousands are following these awesome reader-submitted images of their blogging workspaces. It's so fun to see how workspaces vary around the world; so much so, that I created a Prowl Board* of some of the more common items that are showing up in the shots (okay, the Stormtrooper helmet and disco ball aren't common, but the fact that they actually have shown up in people's offices is fantastic, nonetheless). If you're a blogger and have already submitted your space, thank you so much. If you haven't yet, what are you waiting for? We'd love to see where you create, and you'll get a little link-love in the process.
