#lookforthelight: october/november 2014

My favourite light shots from my October/November Instagram feed.

Perhaps it seems a bit weird to look for the light this time of year:  after all, the days are getting shorter (not helped by most of us "falling back"), and the weather is getting colder -- there's hardly any enticement to get outdoors.  But honestly, this time of year is the source of some of my favourite light:  it's muted, softer, less in-your-face.  Summer light is intense; autumn and winter light is cozy. Summer light is the life of the party; end-of-year light is an intimate get-together.

I love this waning light.
