a quick check-in

As I type this, it's 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16th (hello from the future!), and Maile and I are about to check out of our hotel and say goodbye to Sydney (a breathtaking city, to say the very least).  We'll be joining Rachel Devine this morning, and heading into the Blue Mountains for the last 2 days of our Australian adventure.

My impressions thus far: I always knew that Australia would have its beauty, but honestly, it has been mindblowing how unexpectedly gorgeous this country is. My Instagram photos are probably giving you a hint of this, but I can't wait to share the photos I've been taking with my real camera, and really write  in detail what makes Australia surprising.
