end of summer chillout

Today's Labor Day in the United States, sort of the unofficial end of summer.  Here in Houston, there's been a bit of a break in the incredibly oppressive heat this weekend, so even the weather seems to have gotten the memo.  We spent yesterday at my parents' place (where these photos were taken), cooking and swimming; so today, since the whole family has the day off, we're celebrating a bit differently.

We're holing up at home, sitting around our kitchen table, making art.

It's going to be a great day.

Have a great day, everyone.  And to those of you in the United States (and Canada -- happy Labour Day!), stay safe.
