lime retreat 2019: that's a wrap!
This weekend, for the first time in about 5 years, I hosted a LIME retreat — a workshop for people who are determined to use their superpowers to change the world.
It was intimate, and warm, and I was in the company of the most inspiring people, from all backgrounds and walks of life.
There was a doctor, and artists, and coaches, and activists and even a retired minister. They came from 5 (!) different states across the land. They were passionate about saving the environment, teaching children, traveling the world, animal rescue, gardening — so many things. There was a software founder, a creator of games that allow people to come together over foreign language, and an artist who is passionate about the slow fashion movement.
I’d forgotten how lovely it is to meet people from all different backgrounds, from all walks of life, all determined to use their gifts to make the world a better place. It was absolutely wonderful to be reminded. And because of this reminder, I’m planning more LIMEs for 2020. Stay tuned for more.
In the meantime, big fat thank yous to all of you who joined me this past weekend — I’m overwhelmed by the generosity of your time and your spirit, truly. (And also a big thank you to my right hand, Kim, for helping me organize everything, and ensuring that it all ran without a hitch.)
