#instacamp week 3: water!

One of my favourite things I've been doing on this trip is coming back to our apartment (where we I can get online via wifi, rather than using my iPhone while out and about -- data roaming charges are shocking here in Paris), and checking out the amazing photographs you're all sharing as part of #instacamp.  Can I just say that this week has been my favourite yet? I'm not kidding, here: it feels like you're all getting just amazingly good at these shots.  Does it feel this way to you, as well?

Here are some of my favourites I've seen this week.  As always, please click on the images to learn more about the photographers.

Seriously, aren't these amazing?

If you've taken a cameraphone shot of water, as always, please leave the link to your image below.  I want to make sure I see them all.

And now, for the giveaway:

So far this month, I've been giving away books that I think make great summer reading.  This week, in addition to a signed copy of The Beauty of Different, I thought I'd give away the book I finished while here in Paris:  The Last Hunger Season, by Roger Thurow.  I met Roger when I was in Washington D.C. last week -- he's a former Wall Street Journal reporter, and has written this amazing new book following four Kenyan farmers as they move from poverty to operating their subsistence farms at a profit.  The book is an incredibly easy read, really eye-opening, and absolutely full of hope and beauty -- two things you know I'm all about.

So simply leave a comment below, wherever in the world you are, and I'll pick a person at random  to win these two books.  And thanks so much for participating in #instacamp, my friends.  Monday, I'll reveal the final #instacamp prompt -- and I think you'll really like this one.

Updated:  according to Random.org, the winner of the books is anneberit, who said, "Finding my photo here just made my day! Thank you!"  Congrats, anneberit!  Please email me directly so that we can get you sorted.

Thanks everyone -- stay tuned tomorrow for the very last #instacamp prompt!
