scenes from july 4th

Today was an incredibly quiet day:  it was just the three of us.  In fact, I worked most of the day.

Then Marcus and Alex broke out the Slip 'n Slide.

So I, of course, had to break out the camera.

Then after sundown, we drove to an empty parking lot nearby, conveniently located to watch a couple of firework shows from two different directions in the sky.

My kind of bank holiday, friends.
