I'm currently in Los Angeles for some out-of-the-blue work -- and this is one of those unexpected trips that has been truly a joy.  My friend Maile came with me for some moral support, and after my meetings yesterday, we spent the day exploring Santa Monica.

"Doesn't it feel like we're in a movie set?" Maile kept saying.

Yes.  Yes, it does.

We return to Texas today.  Thanks for an amazing time, L.A.
