happy love day
Since I do make much of the content of my blog about love in all the places it can be found, it would seem negligent not to say something on the day which is actually set aside for love. That said, while I believe romantic love certainly has its very welcome place, I've always felt that Valentine's Day was a bit narrow in focus -- why not, I think, set aside the day to celebrate love in all of its forms? And so, from today going forward, I am officially going to celebrate February 14th as a day where love is brought front and centre in my life -- regardless of whether it is love for my husband, my daughter, my parents and the rest of my family, my friends or myself.
And so, with that in mind, a very sincere Happy Love Day to all of you. May you fill your day with love, and may someone -- even someone you don't know -- show you love today. May you see signs all around you today showing you that you are, indeed, loved.
And for inspiration on how you can show yourself love today, check out this great list of 101 ways you can be your own Valentine on Christine Kane's blog. Personally, I'm going to be all about #13. And maybe #9. And you know what? Maybe even #47.
Have a great day, everyone.
